Tale of Mysore-Karnataka

Hey all Travelling down "SOUTH"....... huhhh??? I was never sure.......apparently the only reason; not a big fan of "South Indian Food".......... I know it's hilarious.......but a wicked truth.......hahahaha!!!  But finally "South" happened, this July.  "Devanshi" bestie, my soul sister started working in Mysore(Karnataka) .  So, from last October "Mysore" was very much on cards. Lucknow to Bengaluru, and then another 4 hrs and Mysore.  Approximately 2100 kms away from home, everything seemed different, fascinating and exciting to me. I was totally in "LOVE" with this new surroundings; be it the lovely weather, the rich greenery , the coconut trees, or the attire of locals(specially the gajra's). To travel is to be free! And when those who are closest to you, join you for one such venture, it's the mo st beautiful journey ever. I am writing this on e as a guest, because the owner of this blog is the best sister in the world, and this particular journey gave me so many memories with her to cherish. The destination is Chikmagalur-Mullayangiri, the highest range in Karnataka... and when hills are calling, there is no second thoughts to it! My base is Mysore and we booked a small cab for 4 people. The cab companies usually charge by kilometers and for small cars, it is Rs.7 per kilometer (Driver charges and other charges excluded). Distance between Mysore and Chikmagalur is approximately 140 Km. Since it's a long distance and takes almost 4 hours to reach, we started from Mysore by 5.00 am in the morning.
